Why opt for Gentle Yoga?

There are many reasons why you might opt for a more gentle approach to class. The heart of the practice is the same as Somatic Yoga, however we make modifications so that the benefits of yoga can be experienced by everyone, regardless of age, or injury. 

In a Gentle Yoga class we give time and attention to establishing firm foundations of practice, so that movement has both qualities of stability and ease.  In addition, weight bearing on knees and hands is limited as this is often problematic for people.  You are encouraged to individualise and adjust your practice according to what benefits your body, to make sure that what I offer to the class in general works for you.  

We give emphasis to the Deep Rest meditation at the end of class so we may cultivate the art of relaxation and inner calm. Curious? get in touch if you’re unsure if this is the class for you.
